The Trek gets its name from the Netravathi River, which originates at the base of the Netravati peak. The Trek offers stunning views of the surrounding shola grasslands and the Belthangady town, and an unforgettable journey through Karnataka's wild landscapes, from rugged trails and tranquil streams to towering peaks - an experience sure to reward any trekker's adventurous side! Netravati Trek lies within Kudremukh National Park, and thus requires permission from the forest department to enter. You can obtain this from Samse village, 14 Km outside Kalasa town; buses can transport you there. However, to ensure an uninterrupted trip and avoid delays, it is advised that tickets be reserved before travelling. As soon as they step inside the forest, trekkers will discover an exotic botanical paradise filled with wildlife and an array of exotic plants.
