Known poetically as the 'Jasmine of the Hills', the Kodachadri trek is one of Karnataka's most beloved mountain adventures. This 9 km trail winds through dense Western Ghat shola forests, babbling streams, and the magnificent Hidlumane Falls before culminating at the Kodachadri summit — one of the highest peaks in Karnataka — offering sweeping views over a sea of forest.
The ascent is a feast for the senses: every turn reveals something new — a hidden stream, a rare orchid, or a sudden clearing with a valley view. The return journey is made even more thrilling by an off-road jeep ride back down the rugged mountain path, a favourite among participants every time.
The second day features the mystical Devagange natural ponds, the historic Nagara Fort, and an optional visit to the Malgudi Museum — a nostalgic tribute to the beloved R.K. Narayan stories set in the fictional Malgudi. A wholesome two-day escape that combines natural grandeur with cultural richness, all within a comfortable weekend from Bangalore.
