Huliyurdurga is part of the Navadurgas, which are located near Bangalore. The hill's fortifications are about 845 meters above sea level and are said to have been built by Kempe Gowda, the founder of Bengaluru. It is located in the same village as the Huliyurdurga fort. Huli is a Tiger, and Durga is a Fort. Legend has it that tigers roamed and ruled this region throughout the 16th century.

Huliyurdurga is about 80 kilometers from Bangalore and is ideal for a challenging adventure. This is a climb rather than a walk! You should take the Tumkur side, which is 60 km south of Tumkur town and about 22 km south

Bus Timetable to Huliyurdruga
There are three options for taking a bus from Bangalore.

1)From the Ramanagara district town of Maddur – Take a bus/train directly to Maddur from Bangalore's Majestic or Railway Station (SBC). Get off at Maddur and walk to the bus stop. There are direct buses from here to Huliyurdurga.

2) From Kunigal city- take a bus to Nelamangala or a bus to Hasan, Mangalore from Bangalore. Get off at the Kunigal junction and head in the direction of Kunigal. You can take a bus directly from Kunigal to Huliyurdurga village.

3) From Mandya district's Magadi town – Majestic, take a direct bus to Maddur from Bangalore. You must disembark at Maddur and take the bus to Huliyurdurga.
