Bannerghatta National Park, is a biological park very close to Bangalore. It is situated in the northern most location of Mysuru Elephant Reserve. Today it holds and protects, our endangered animals, flora and fauna, and many other species of animals and plants.

It has over 2300 animals that are belonging to 102 species. All of these are protected under the National Zoo Policy, 1998 in accordance to the (SDG-15) goal of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

This Bannerghatta National Park is just 22 Km away from Bangalore and situated in the hills of the Anekal range, with hilly terrain and granite sheets. You are going to spot varieties of animals, reptiles, birds and butterflies in this National Park.

One beautiful thing is that it is India's first national park which is a home of more than 20 species of butterflies. Witness the mesmerizing view of the dense forest along with animals and birds roaming.On the banks of the Suvarnamukhi stream that passes through the National Park, you can spot tigers, lions, lopid Rhinosaurus, Hippos, bears, langoor dears etc.

This National Park is situated on the elephant corridor of the eastern and Western ghats. Visit the crocodile farm and reptile centre to see exotic species of snakes and lizards.
